The 300th Army Band are set to play the Henderson Events Plaza for Art Beat presented by Target on June 24th, 2011.  The performance begins at 8pm and there will be pre-show activities starting at 5pm that consists of various art displays, demonstrations and local musicians.  Entry is complimentary, no tickets necessary.

The 300th Army Band started back in 1943 when it was activated for duty in London, England.  Having played currently through Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Texas, Washington and Nevada over the past 15 years, the military band makes another stop to our lovely city of Henderson for a performance of classical, patriotic and contemporary pieces.  How fitting with Independence Day just around the corner!

We at the Department of Cultural Arts and Tourism have been extremely grateful at the line up of performers we have been able to present to our residents during this run of Art Beat presented by Target.  Having The 300th Army Band cap things off on this exciting season at our Events Plaza is a great honor leading into the holiday season!

The Henderson Events Plaza encompasses 2.7 acres with 60,000 square feet of programmable event space with a shaded tiered seating amphitheater with seating and overflow available for 900 people.  It was Nevada’s first public outdoor events plaza completed in 2006.
