Benise (pronounced BUH-NESS-SEE) started his passion for the guitar listening to greats like Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page, focusing on the rock genre. Then came a day he stumbled across the spanish guitar while listening to the radio and was instantly in love. He bought his first nylon string guitar and started to learn the instrument, eventually retiring his electric guitar to focus more on his new passion. He combined his rock background with his new-found love and created a sound in which he bills as “rockmenco”. He is famous for his elaborate stage shows titled Nights of Fire!, which has been broadcasted on PBS nationwide.
