Henderson Heritage Parade & Festival

It’s that time of year again!  The Henderson Heritage Parade and Festival will take place this Saturday, April 16th, 2011 on Water Street.  The day’s events will run from 10am to 7pm and entry is complimentary, no tickets necessary.

Help us celebrate our lovely city by taking part in all of the festivities that we have lined up, following our tradition upheld since 1950.  There will be a Mayor Breakfast taking place on the Convention Center lawn from 8am to 9am, a parade from Water Street Ocean to Victory from 10am to 11:30am.  The festival itself will run from 11am to 7pm with a Car Show on display from noon to 6pm.

The theme selected for this year’s parade is “Henderson – Chocolatiers for 30 years” with Ethel M Chocolates as the Grand Marshall.  The International Food and Folklife Festival will involve International Food, two stages of live entertainment, live cook and dance demonstrations on stage, crafts and demonstration booths inside the Convention Center and the car show will be along Water Street between Basic and Pacific.

This is our favorite time of the year as the Department of Cultural Arts and Tourism assist in representing our lovely City of Henderson with an entire day of great food and entertainment.  We hope that you join us for what promises to be a day filled with fun and excitement!
